Sebaceous Hyperplasia is a benign condition of sebaceous glands that is relatively common in adults middle aged or older. The lesions can be either singular or there can be multiple. These lesions manifest themselves as yellowish, soft, small papules on the face, typically near the nose cheeks and forehead.
Sebaceous Hyperplasia can also occur on other parts of the body, although typically associated with hair follicles it can also be found in hairless regions of the body as well other than just the face such as the chest or groin area.
Multiple lesions can now be successfully treated using Levulan Photodynamic Therapy and Intense Pulsed Light.
