While blisters occur most commonly on our feet, they can also appear almost anywhere on the body where friction is present. This friction could be caused from another part of the body, clothing or any other outside irritant.
Fortunately, blisters can be prevented by paying attention to the area of irritated skin and taking precautions to ease the friction that is causing the chaffing. Often, times of increased physical activity can cause blisters to appear so be aware of your activities.
Blisters will generally heal on their own but it is important to watch out for signs of an infection. Some symptoms include:
- Itching at the blister site
