Technologies Used >> BLU-U® Blu Photodynamic Illuminator

The BLU-U® Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy Illuminator is the product that Dr. Kovak uses for Blue Light Treatment. Blue Light Treatment offers effective, non-invasive and pain-free treatment for acne, a condition affecting millions of adults, teens and children. This procedure is also effective in treating sun damaged and oily skin, scaly skin (actinic keratoses), and the wart-like growths known as seborrheic keratoses.

The Blue Light Treatment is not a laser. It emits safe, cool, visible blue light to provide an effective solution to moderate acne. First, a certified physician or nurse applies a product called the Levulan® Kerastick®, which makes the skin more responsive to light treatment. After the product thoroughly cleanses the your skin, the doctor or nurse applies the Blue Light Treatment to rid the skin of acne.
