WRINKLE REDUCTION AND ACNE SCAR IMPROVEMENT

WRINKLE REDUCTION AND ACNE SCAR IMPROVEMENT

We are using the newest fractional technology to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles and acne scarring. The Palomar 1540 fractional technology produces thousands of tiny but deep columns of treatmens in your skin, known as microthermal treatment zones. This is done with limited discomfort to the patient as the Palomar 1540 utilizes patented cooling. Just as important as the treated areas are the areas of skin that are left untouched. The fractional treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area was treated at once, using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue.

We are now offering skin tightening with minimal discomfort. Introducing the LUXIR laser that sends infrared light pulses deep into the dermis, where it creates a carefully controlled area of elevated temperature. This technology has been shown to trigger a biological response which leads to collagen remodeling in the deep dermis. Remodeled collagen can smooth out fine wrinkles and tighten sagging skin.

Excessive Sweating

Sweating is necessary to control body temperature during times of exercise and warm/hot surroundings. Sweating is regulated by the sympathetic nervous system. In a small percentage of the population (0.6-1.0%), the amount of sweating exceeds the body's requirements. This condition is known as Hyperhidrosis.  The areas of the body most often affected by Hyperhidrosis are the hands, feet and underarms. Excessive sweating is a treatable condition and results remain constant across all areas of treatment.

BOTOX® is approved by the FDA for the treatment of Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating).  BOTOX® works by inhibiting the nerve endings from transmitting signals to the sweat glands.  The result of this inhibition is a decrease in the amount of sweating in the treated areas.

While the exact cause of Hyperhidrosis is unknown, there is a solution to this affliction.  BOTOX® treatments have been found effective to significantly reduce and possibly eliminate the effects of this condition for an average of 6 months for the treated areas.  While the effects of BOTOX® treatments are temporary, it is among the safest and most effective treatments for excessive sweating that is available today.

Dr. Kovak's office is recognized by the manufacturer of BOTOX® as a national training center.
