Skin Tag Removal
One method of removing skin tags is to surgically cut them off. First your doctor will clean the area, use a local anesthetic to numb the area and skin tag, and cut them off with a sterile instrument. Skin tags have a tendency of bleeding a lot when cut. Kovak Laser institute will cauterize the wound to stop the bleeding. It is highly recommended to not perform this procedure at home to risk hey bleeding and infection.
Another method of skin tag removal is called cryosurgery. In this method your doctor will freeze the skin tag using liquid nitrogen. This method involves no bleeding, but results are not immediate and the skin tag will fall off after a week or two after cryosurgery. This method is useful for tags close to or on the eyelid and for those who prefer not to have the skin tag surgically removed.
